replacing cpu

Ok, so I have a laptop that used to work fine, but now isn't doing everything I want it to. The computer is 3 years old. Everything is fine except for the cpu (I have reset the computer and defragged the hard drive). I do not have the budget right now to buy a desktop with the specs I want so I am going to wait until I save enough money. I am guessing the processor has degraded over time. I am willing to buy a motherboard too in order to have a different slot with an ideal speed of 2 GHz. I don't know how possible this is with my budget of $120, but here are my specs:

processor:

amd athlon neo 1.6 GHz

ASB1 BGA slot

L335

computer:

64 bit windows
hp pavilion dm3

and my idle cpu usage is 1%
with an average of about 35% doing everyday tasks

It's nearly impossible to replace a laptop cpu. Especially the soldered in ones. I HIGHLY doubt you'd be able to find something that'd fit in the chassis, with the correct connections, etc. You'd best save up your money until you can afford a good laptop/desktop pc.

You would have to buy a motherboard specific to the laptop that you have. However I would just recommend that you just save up your money and buy a desktop instead of maybe improving you laptop a little bit.

Buy a Quantum computer. It will be selling 100 years from now at a great price of 100 million dollars. Plus a few tens of millions for liquid nitrogen cooling and radiation shield. Be sure to buy the AMD brand because it is the best.
