One of my screens keeps going black randomly, playing a game, surfing the web, staring pointlessly at my desktop........ i think it could be the display port adapter but anyway to test this theory

i think it could be the display port, but i didn't have any problems when i had catalyst drivers installed but with new crimson it dose this all the time.

thoughts, concerns or am i crazy and seeing things?

you're using a Display port to HDMI adapter i bet.

SUCH ADAPTERS MUST BE "ACTIVE" ADAPTERS TO WORK WITH AMD CARDS.

Check if it is an active adapter. If it is not. GET AN ACTIVE ADAPTER. or a Mini-display port/display port to HDMI cable.

we've seen a lot of report of screen going black either under gaming load and even idling on the desktop with radeon cards lately on the forum...maybe there is something going on about that.

no using display-port (active) to dvi i have 4 screens hooked up only the one is doing it its prob the display port adapter bought it for cheap when tigerdrect was doing their closing sale it had a good run.... but i don't think its the problem, only sense the new drivers ive had this issue.  and it follows the screens when i change them around.
