Hello all, I am going to pick up parts at microcenter today and wanted some opinions. This build is for my wife who doesn't do any too intensive computer tasks, but might dabble into video editing in the future. I plan to use on board video before we purchase a video card. Any suggestions please let me know.

Edit: Definitely want to build out of this case and maintain the white, black, and light blue color scheme.

A little more but 6 core i7 for that video editing. If it aint too much id consider swapping 4x4 gb ram to 4x 8gb ram

Also added a more reliable PSU and switched in a larger faster storage drive

X99 has no integrated graphics, OP should just get a dirt cheap card for now.

If you go with a Full ATX case, you can take advantage of the Microcenter $20 combo deal, and get the 4790k + a Z97 board for $330. http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx

As for the build, i would personally do the following:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($249.99 @ Micro Center)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($80.00)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $645.90
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I would then pair this up with a GPU within your budget. However much you have left to spend, invest a decent amount in a nice monitor, and a video card.

Thanks for the replys so far. I don't have a strict budget but I am for sure building out of the white air 240, also going for the white, black, and light blue color scheme
