Choosing a pump

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

Id go with the EK D5 Vario :)

Hi,im looking for a pump for my planned loop,i dont want to spend a lot of money since its my first time

I have seen this unit on Amazon:http://www.amazon.es/Alphacool-DC-LT-2400-noise-Ceramic/dp/B00L5J2QFM/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1450712546&sr=1-2 but i would need a top for the pump

Or this one:http://www.amazon.es/Phobya-DC12-220-400LPH-Compact-Pump/dp/B004L865JM/ref=sr_1_11?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1450712543&sr=1-11

I will be using a 240mm rad if that matters.I dont know which is better

I am open for suggestions, but i am not willing to fork out 100 euros on a pump

With a custom loop its spend lots or dont bother im afraid, its really an enthusiast thing to do with enthusiast prices. Id recommend the D5 Vario pump myself.

Ok,i have come to these options:

-http://www.coolmod.com/ek-ek-d5-vario-motor-12v-bomba-precio with this top:http://www.coolmod.com/adaptador-bomba-ek-d5-x-top-csq-plexi-precio

Which one is better on terms of noise and performance?

If you only have a few parts eg. a GPU, CPU, Radiator and Reservoir, I would go for the D5, but with more parts such as multiple GPU's and Radiators, i would go for 2 DDC's

Your options really stem down to what type of Laing D5 you want.....Ignore the EK or XSPC or whatever branding, all of them are Laing D5's. Personally I recommend the D5 Strong variant with a controller, you can use them at 24v and gain the equivalent of a speed setting 8 on a Vario, they also run at 12v for normal D5 performance.
