Parts. You'd get more for your money, plus if one part in your computer doesn't work, you'd be selling your computer to someone that will most likely, not have knowledge of putting a computer together and so you wouldn't get anything for it. Whereas, if you sold in parts you'd be able to sell multiple parts for high, working value. And then one part that doesn't work and so, PC Builders would know what to do with these parts.
