Get the R9 390(X), it's better than the 970

GarnetDevil I do know that the r9 390 is definitely better than the 970 based on game benchmarks I've seen, but this build is planned for the end of 2016 so hopefully by then nvidia's pascal HBM2 gpu's are out so this is like a substitute for their next budget based card. If any new components come out from certain brands to replace the parts I have chosen I definitely

will update the list over time.  

 

In that case I believe Skylake-E should be released aswell may be worth looking at that platform instead

True, but mainly the 970 has better performance at 1080p, the R9 390 has advantage due to it's RAM.
