Since I updated to windows 10, I'm getting the errors that say the graphics driver isn't responding and has been restored. When this happend, I'm getting huge frame drops. So i looked for a solution and found one (adding TdrDelay in regedit), now the errors are gone but i'm still getting these drops. I downloaded MSI afterburner to see if it was overheating but it isn't. When these drops happen, the GPU usage spikes to 100% and stays there even if i close the game. These drops only happen when i use the recomended settings in geforce experience and when the game ran for 5-30 minutes.

i'm running a 4770k, 16gb of ram and a windforce gtx 780

anyone has the same problem or knows of a solution?

Overheating VRM's won't be seen on MSI Afterburner's stats (same thing applies to FX-8350 CPU's, used on budget MB's) : LINK.
Similar problem to yours : LINK.

Also, Gigabyte's WF3 series GTX 780/780 Ti's, have quite a history of failing early on.

But let's be positive : Maybe it's just a mining virus in the background ?

that is weird, sound like a virus or really fked up driver. i recommend that you listen to green day and reinstall all gpu drivers. if that doesent work then go to settings and reset the pc, or you can go back to earlier build, or then go back to win 7 or 8.

Thanks for the reply but I don't think it's a mining virus because when i start my pc the usage is normal at about 5% it only spikes after +/-5 minutes of playing a game.
