The proper unit for CPU frequency is GHz. If it was MHz, you wouldn't get anything done. You cannot use an AMD CPU with an Intel socket - a long time ago, you could, but that time has passed. If the CPU you want uses the same socket and your laptop supports it after updating the BIOS(if required), it should work unless the power draw becomes too great.

I don't think you can. Most laptops have their CPUs and gpus soldered in.

That is most likely not possible since laptop CPUs are usually soldered to the motherboard.

CPU: i7 3770K | MB: EVGA Z77 FTW | RAM: HyperX Savage 2400Mhz 16GB | GPU: R9 280X Toxic | Cooler: Scythe Fuma | PSU: CoolerMaster B600

SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB - Toshiba DT01ACA300 3TB

Depends on the laptop. Older ones had CPUs you could upgrade and we have no idea what he's using.

How can i know if my laptop will support new cpu? And i don't wanna mess with BIOS and voltages, because im a noob at this.will it be ok if i just replace old cpu with new one?what can go wrong?

You need to access the area where the CPU sits in your laptop. If your CPU is upgradable, then you need to check to make sure your BIOS supports it. If not, you will either need to forfeit the upgrade or update the BIOS. If you do the update wrong or power gets removed during the update process, it will probably leave you with a bricked laptop.

Where can i check if my BIOS will support new one?

Because the laptop is fairly recent, I don't think you'll be able to upgrade the CPU. Check the laptop physically to make sure it's not soldered to the motherboard.

Well if you do decide to get another CPU it would be quite costly I found a cpu that will fit your laptop socket.

But you have to consider that your laptop is not designed for the high end cpu which will produce more heat. Thats even if the cpu is not soldered into the motherboard and if ASUS even supported the cpu to begin with. Also getting to the the laptop is quite tricky for an inexperienced person. U will need a tool kit or an improvised one. I would not try and will not recommend it.

Might as well just buy another laptop at that price.

Yeah IMO, Its not worth the price, the effort, and the risk. If it performs slow than just get a new laptop. Just ask the community for a good laptop for ~$500. I can guarantee that it is miles better than that laptop.

I didn't mean to do it by my self. I would just buy a proper cpu and take it to someone who is experte at this and do it for me.

Let me tell you its not worth doing. Its almost $420 and plus the cost of someone else doing it your looking at about $500. Also if your worried about losing your data you can always transfer it over to a newer pc.

I see a good cpu wich have 3.5 Ghz,16000 mhz cloock speed and 3 MB some space ikd... for 40$ for me it seems pretty good.you said its worthless so i will leave it like it is.

The clock speed cannot be 16,000MHz. That would be 16GHz.
