4790k @ 1.39v

Its a little high, you should be able to get 4.7 - 4.8 at less than 1.35v.

 

It's not going to blow up or anything, but stability at a lower voltage is always good.

silicon lottery : some chips overclock better than others.. clearly he got a dud

i have just o'cd a 4790k to 4.8ghz at 1.39 volts and i was wondering if the voltage is too high or the chip isn't a great overclocker

well not the best but 1.39 is too high to run 24/7
