Sys specs-

Asrock pro 4 z97

I7-4790k Stock

Gtx980/R7260x

8GB ram

psu-500w Thermaltake tr2 500w

Problem, My system doesn't boot up anymore with the 980 on the system no post lights on peripherals or monitor but when the amd card is in it works like nothing happened. The last thing I remember before It went dark is I tried to OC the 980 and it works and one day it froze so I rebooted the sys thinking it failed and never booted back up

Things I've notice- When the pie connector is in the fans don't spins with out it it spins, works with amd card

any help is appreciated

I used to work and now it doesn't do anything no light on keyboard or mouse so is my gpu good?

You may have been overstressing the psu, some are able to run beyond their rated capacity for a while but will inevitably fail. I would try another psu and 500 watts is definitely not enough, even my system (check my profile) has 450 w minimum psu recommendation and its really basic. Your gpu should be ok... check with a different psu, run some benchmarks. If any damage occurred, its on the inside and nothing can be done about it now.

I'm for sure getting a new psu on boxing day (Canadian Black friday) but it is a evga card so if it's damage IL rma it also the lights are illuminated when there power to it but I'm glad it a psu problem cause that card at launch was expensive
