I bought a key for Norton internet security off G2A.com. When I tried to activate it, it gave me this error message.

I am worried about this line: "If you activate with this Key, your product could be managed by the other Norton account."

What does this mean exactly?

Im saying out of this one. Got heated last time i got involved with a Norton issue.... but let those be known #2 in 2 days..

My suggestion is to check the account you purchased it on, and make sure it is INDEED the correct account. if it is call them.

It means you shouldn't have bought from G2A because G2A sells stolen/shady key acquisitions.

That key already is part of someone else's Norton account.

Well does it mean the "other account" can access personal information like passwords and scan logs?

If you tell it to Manage your key installation that way, it'd access anything Norton can access, in theory, yes.

I just finished talking to Norton customer support live chat. when I asked about it, the agent said, He just can only check your device name and subscription status of your Norton product.

He cannot access or attain any other information and apparently you could by an activation key from any registered account, so that the key could be sold on sites like G2A

I guess that works then. Shady shit, regardless.
