Help with my build?

Go to solution Solved by BobyTheDragon,

Oh, Is there a way I can fix my ram?

And I thought they only needed 150W VIA: https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/R7360OC2GD5/specifications/

Sorry for late reply

They need 150 watts by themselves, Maybe you can get away with 500 watts?

The ram problem is either caused by the BIOS of your motherboard OR the sticks of ram you have is only able to go to that mhz before the system crashes, Try playing around with BIOS

I want to purchase a ASUS Radeon R7 360 2GB GDDR5( (~$200 CAD) to upgrade from AMD Radeon HD 5450.

I'm looking to upgrade and be able to play CS:GO and PayDay2 with atleast 60 FPS (Previously only gotten 30 FPS max with 800x600 and everything set to low)

I'm only running 1 monitor, and I'm not planning on expanding.

My Specs are:

OP: Windows 8 64-Bot

CPU: AMD FX-6300

RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 802MHz (11-11-11-28)

MB: ASUSTeK M5A97 R2.0 (Socket 942)

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5450

PSU: 500W

My Question is: Can my current rig handle the Radeon R7 360? If not, What should I upgrade before deciding on Purchasing a new GPU.

More detail about the GPU:

You ram is at 802mhz? Something is not right there lol and that power supply may need a bump up to 750 watts because AMD cards are power hungry

well if you have a 80+ bronze or higher psu you can even put a 380 in there no problem. if not you need to be careful but after you figure out the ram problem your system should be able to handle it
