Sort pf Urgent help needed

 I ran Chkdsk /f /r but it hanged at 12% and I force-restarted and skipped it via Esc

It's not present in the Registry (check with Regedit) - do I have to turn it off from another source? Windows seems to be working fine. I assume nothing got bricked?

I think you are fine, since it just scanned and did not do any changes according to wikipedia

I mean, if it's hanging, that suggest that a problem does exist, but you didn't brick it by restarting during the scan.

 

I would recommend scanning again at some point and looking into checking up on your hard drive's health.

There is some registry errors present.

I don't know whether a registry fix tool would help but the one that came with my BitDefender package looks alight for that job.

@EposVox @noisebomb44 well it scans and repairs and disk was in full force. Did a quick SMART chech and it seems fine. Hope the OS and disk are oo

I had it tuning for 30-50mins. Maybe I should have left it linger

For me, the best way to avoid the issues was to have the hard drive at less than 70% capacity.

Problems always arise when i defrag with auslogics disk defrag.

And i use bitdefender to fix all registry errors.

Should be fine, had this 3-4 months ago.

@Xenift okay. Okay. Deep breaths. Now i just hope the drive is okay. Did a quick check via win 8.1s option I properties. Came out negative. No immediate repercussions on smart chart either. It boots fine. Scg/scannow said some errors are fixed and some are"t. Same as my desktop
