HELP PLS

wadzftw

Guys I need some advice. I have an r9 290 reference card and its running quite hot. I have a cpu aio water cooler, but i dont want to remove the heatsink. do u guys think it would be a good idea to place the cooler on the back side of the gpu die so it will at least help dissipate the heat away? will there be a short on the gpu if i do so? im planning to mount the cooler on the gpu die mini backplate. thanks in advance.

the cooler block is made of copper or polished aluminum and it conductive

do not put any conductive items on the back of the GPU die

Do not do this, you could very easily short out components on the back of the GPU.
