Will it bottleneck?

I just saw a post saying a Fx-8350, the cpu im getting (Already ordered), bottlenecks a r9 290. I got scared and thought it would bottleneck my r9 380. Will it bottleneck? what kind of performance would i get?

 

Edit: Sorry to be kinda to concerned, i want the best experience.

It won't bottleneck either card in most games, but you may see stuttering & drops in MMORPGs, RTS, and certain AAA titles.

 

For the most part, the 380 will work fine with the 8350. but even better with an i5

What about GTA V.

Why? It won't be an issue - FX 8350 can handle a R9 290/390 - a 380 is easily capable of being supplied with draw calls

Just saw a video where an i3 got more FPS than it , specifically the i3-4130.

OLD games that run on 1 or 2 cores - modern games are a different story - the 8350 has more raw horse power than a i5 4460

Well, i'll see, I plan to overclock the cpu using my MSI h97 mobo and Hyper 212 evo.

Look at Novigrad - 8350 is 20fps ahead of the i3

H97 does not allow for overclocking locked intel CPUs
