DDR3 1866Mhz Ram Compatibility

LeeYoh

Hey guys, so I've been planning on getting the HyperX Fury 1866Mhz Ram.  But I think my motherboard can only support up to 1333Mhz.  My question is, will the 1866mhz be compatible with my mobo or should I get 1333Mhz HyperX?  I got my pc from a friend so I don't really know the specs, so I used Speccy and this is what it gave me.  Also, I've heard that HyperX will automatically go downgrade its Mhz automatically?  Is that true?

My mobo ( I think? ): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004Q7NJD8/ref=psdc_1048424_t2_B004QDRU7S

Thanks in advance!

save some money and get 1333MHz instead

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

But on amazon, the 1866Mhz is much cheaper than 1333Mhz for some reason.  Also, I'm planning on buying the 1866Mhz so I could use it for my future build.  Thanks for the reply btw!  ( I'm looking at that 2x4 8gb kit btw )

I'd have to check, but from memory the 1866 was an overclock anyway...It's will probably work, it just won't be guaranteed to work, If you're mobo can't overclock the ram then it'll just run at stock.

I see, I was scared at first that my mobo can't do the downgrading stuff.  Thank you guys so much! :)
