Rx10ii vs Lumix FZ1000

Planning on getting camera, specially one that shoots 4k video and still takes great stills. Im looking at 2 cameras right now, them being the sony x10 ii and the lumix fz1000. I can get the fz1000 for almost $600 cheaper than the fx10. Can anyone tell me how the rx10ii is better than the fz1000? Is the extra 600 worth it?

Well you'd probably have to look for some online 4K video comparisons.  I personally would not get either for recording 4K video.

Is there a camera around that price that can record better?

A Panasonic G7 or GH4? You still need to check reviews and what people say.  And I do not mean just any online review, check the ones on EOSHD, Cinema5D, NoFilmSchool, Newsshooter, etc. where professionals and semi-professionals in the video industry hang out.

at that kind of price i would go with a camera like the Panasonic g7. Gives you the option of using more than just one lens and will give you much better control over the final image than those "point and shoot" esq cameras. Also, with the g7 being a micro 4/3's camera, you have a huge variety of lenses that can be used with it.
