Bluetooth speaker modding

I got this small bluetooth speaker from my brother and its quite bad but I was thinking that I could mod it to make it better. I found that this one guy made his own rugged bluetooth speaker, link here

So I was thinking of making something close to that but maybe smaller

I was thinking of building it in a rugged box like a pelican case . I'm not totally sure about the size but I was thinking of bit bigger than a normal portable speaker. Maybe large enough so there is room for a small bottle as well as all the electronics (Good way to smuggle some alcohol to a festival).

I'm not sure how to design this whole concept, so any audio and electronic geeks help me with this.

I'll try to answer to questions as fast as I can. Sorry for typos and unclear post

This video might help you out.  The only thing I would say is make sure you get bluetooth 4.0 components, it's a much better improvement in the compression algorithms over 3.0.

whats the real difference with bluetooth 3.0 and 4.0? That speaker I have has bluetooth 3.0

I found this amp which might be good to make a diy bluetooth speaker but I'm not sure if I should use only two drivers or more and if it would be possible put more speakers to that amp

The exact specs are too complicated for me to understand, but there are a lot of reviews of 4.0 products that say there is an increase in quality from 3.0 products.  Here is an example, in the first minute he says the Mpow 3.0 receiver sounded like crap, but the 4.0 receiver sounds good.

okay yeah I understand now, I was thinking of buying that amp which has bluetooth 4.0, but I'm not sure how many drivers it could handle
