So I've just finished building my of, what shld I do? What apps should I get? What bios/Windows settings do I need to customise? I know that Linus has a set of apps that he uses to check stuff like temperatures, ram diagnostics, etc. What are these? And what drivers do I need? Do I still need to install wireless drivers if my motherboard does not have wifi?

So, you already installed windows on your computer? You should probably install the drivers for graphics card at AMD or Nvidia's website depending on what gpu you bought. Definitely get an antivirus like Avast which is free to download. You can also use programs like hwmonitor and speccy to watch temps. Use prime95 to stress you system and check temps on full load. Also, download some graphical benchmarks like Unigine heaven benchmark to test out your gpu.

You don't need to setup anything else in BIOS than you boot order. Nothing more is needed for basic user. After you have installed OS, install all updates and drivers. You don't need WiFi drivers or drivers to anything other than what you are going to use. In fact, if mobo doesn't have WiFi, support page doesn't even lst driver for that. So go to support page of mobo and download all things that are marked to be drivers. Other utilities are mostly crapware. If you have Asus or MSI mobo, their control software for fans are good to use anyway, if you like.

After drivers and updates are going ok, go to ninite.com. Thats the site where you get most of the common software people use. DL package with all that you would need. If you feel need to test that everything is working right, you can get benchmarks and stress tests. Most common benchmarks are 3Dmark, Cinebench and Unigine. You should monitor temps while running tests. I can recommend OpenHardwareMonitor for that, There are bunch of others too, all free.
