I was wondering if a 430w PSU could handle an R9 380x. All my other specs are in the signature. I already have 430w but it's super shady.

430W stickered on the side or it can actually output that?

Get yourself something new. 430W is plenty, but a sketchy PSU = fireworks in a hurry.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Sorry, I just realized my wording on that was awkward. I'm already planning on getting a new PSU, I just wanted to know how much power I need.

Oh, gotcha.

Well, a 380X and, say, 4790k, would get you to maybe 300W under overclocked load so there's that.

But if he wants any upgradedibility he should get at least 500 watts

Well yeah, if he wants a great GPU down the road then 550W is recommended.
