Hi all,

So i recently decided to pick up the CM Storm Sirus S 5.1 Headphones(same as Sirus but without control pod http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/audio/sirus_S/) and was wondering if it could work well with my onboard sound on my motherboard(z77 mpower). If not, what sound card should i purchase?

Thanks!

Don't waste your money, those headphones are not worth it. Stick with inboard.

So you're saying i won't see much of a difference by buying a sound card? Even this http://www.soundblaster.com/products/sound-blaster-z.aspx

These are good enough,at least the reviewers say they are. I'll be getting a secondhand sound card if i need to get one.But if i won't be seeing much of a difference going from onboard to say something like Asus Xonar DGX,then i won't do it. I'll save and probably invest in the SoundBlaster Z.

there's no point getting any soundcard with that headset you would have been better off getting better heaphones with a modmic
