Will you get banned if you use mods in an invite only session in GTA 5? If so will you get banned directly or can you play a little bit?

I think you can get banned if you log onto modded GTAO at any point, invite only or otherwise. I think the only safe way to mod GTAV is single player only.

It's safe in sp only.

I think it's officially labeled as an EULA violation regardless of single player or a closed or open online lobby. But I haven't heard of single player scripting/modding for quite a while.
