My fans got more quite when fan speed in bios was set to performance mode (instead of standard).

Performance mode must include variable fan speed, so at lower workloads, it is quieter.

2 are the ones that came with the case (nzxt s340, 120mm), 1 is a random cheap one (120mm) I got from microcenter, 2 are from rosewell (140mm in the front).

2 120mm at the top and back as outtake, 2 140mm at the front as intake, and the microcenter 120mm fan sitting on the psu shroud near the front.

The mobo is an asrock z97 pro4
