I was just wondering while putting together a list for my new gaming PC if CPU's can be replaced by a new one in the future.

They can, provided that the board does not bottleneck the CPU in terms of overclockability, and that they have the same socket type.

if this is your plan, make sure you go 1151 intel (skylake) its the latest socket and gives you a better chance of upgrading in the future

yeah it can be replaced if its the same socket as your current one.
