SSD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167359

Im looking at maybe getting one of these. I had a question regarding where it plugs in. My current Motherboard is the X99-UD4777a0dfe27.jpg

My question is would the SSD be able to plug into the smaller slots between the bigger ones, or would I have to plug the SSD into the full size slots and lose its potential to hold a GPU. My guess is I would have to give up a full slot, but i want to be sure. Also, can I buy a 2nd one to run in RAID to increase speed?

It needs a X4 slot, so probably.

If it needs Gen 3 x4 for optimal performance,  you will have to use a physical x16 slot.
