Hey, just wondering if there's anyone in Australia that has a ModMic. I'm looking at getting a pair of ATH-M50 and I really don't want a clip on mic. The only place I can find is that you need to get it from Antlion's official site and get international shipping.

Is there anyone in Australia that found an easier/better way of getting a ModMic.

Cheers

I doubt it man.

If you can't find it on the first page of google results, then it won't be in Australia.

Also I can't even find it on Amazon so I'm pretty sure you will have to buy it from the official site... or if you're lucky maybe an overseas tech store.

I have the modmic, I had to order it through the official website. The rate wasn't that bad when I got it last time. Plus i had the trial run price for the 3.0 so it was substantially cheaper

There's a removable cable mod you can do to your M50's, and then you could use the V-MODA BoomPro or Reloop RLP221943 RHM-10 if they're available down under (links just for reference).

I think the reloop uses a twist lock system to secure their detachable cables and therefore might need to be "trimmed" down to be used for a headphone without a corresponding lock.

can you confirm if there is such a mechanism for the vmoda stuff? is it just a straight pull out design?

Zooming in on the V-Moda, I don't see anything, and my Crossfade LP's didn't have any such system.

the vmoda mic is "supposed" to be universal fit for all vmoda headphones so if your crossfades didnt have them then they are good to go plug N' play

Thanks guys, I love modding so this will probably be my next project. Can anyone speak for the sound quality of the mic? I'm on TS for about 6+ hours a day.

Can't speak from experience, but I bet it's similar to a modmic. There's not a lot of difference between cheap audio equipment.

Now that I think about it, I really should get a boom pro for my V-Moda's.... Lent them to a friend with a zalman clip on that just doesn't cut it.
