Graphics card issues

So I recently started overclocking my msi gtx 970 with msi afterburner and I pushed it until it became unstable without adding voltage when it became unstable I rebooted my computer using the power button as I wasn't getting an image. When I log back in it says that the driver had stopped working but successfully recovered but when I loaded up valley my core clock would only go to 540mhz and that was it. So I did a proper shut down of the system logged back in and the same issue so I left it off overnight and it would boost fine but when I started again the same thing happened and it wouldn't boost again I don't know wether it gets stuck in safe mode or what please help.

Yes i have reset the settings same issue still :\

Well,usually,when that happened to me,I just resseted with the normal way(Start->Reset) and it fixed itself.In that case,try a driver reinstall(w/o OC).

Sound suggestion.... I honestly have never had gpu overclocking problems with my card but i have a AMD card so my drivers and settings are probably different.
