Welcome to the fine community of the Linus Tech Tips Forum sir. I suggest following your topics so that you get notified when someone replies! Also PCpartpicker is a great place to store all your builds! I may be a little biased but I would go with an r9 280x or even a 390 if you have the budget! What WD drive is it? (blue, black red, ect.)

get a better cpu, cx are meant for everyday office/home use, not gaming/overclocking

also get a 380/380x for the price, or cut down to an i5/r9 390 combo

psu good for the money:

seasonic m12ii/s12ii/G/s12g, xfx ts/xtr, evga b2/g2/gs/gq/p2/ps, antec hcg/hc pro/edge , corsair RMi/RMx (not normal RM)/Hx/Ax, coolermaster VS/VSM, superflower leadex gold/platinum

The site has changed....

The reason I didn't choose a better cpu is because I checked on the asus website to see what is compatible with the motherboard and the i7 4790K was one of the best. So if there is another motherboard around the price of $160 that someone could suggest for me that would be great.
