Mic building static noise

Over a period of time my mic will build up some static noise, this just started somewhat recently. I haven't changed anything with my computer at all, so not sure what this is coming from. But I replaced my front IO with this drive bay panel because the front IO broke but that was a long time before this started happening. Also when I lay in bed with ear buds I get a static shock a the time while moving.

Where do you live? Could by dry winter weather is causing static buildup; that is certainly responsible for the shock you're getting from the earphones.

I live in Phoenix Arizona so it's dry here 24/7 except a few months near August and it did the shock with the earphones then too. But I think it's this drive bay that is causing both issues for the most part. I never had the issue with my front IO except maybe once sine I lived here I got shocked with some shit earbuds. Anyways, I plugged my mic and headphones into the motherboard instead and so far no static has built up in the mic, but sometimes it takes a while. While plugged into the front though I was messing around trying to fix it and it was building up nearly as soon as I turned my PC on. I tried a different outlet, power strip, moved some other wires next to the PC etc. Seems to be the adapter. Link That's the product. Not sure why it started doing it now randomly.

^ That is the sound it builds up and makes, gets louder eventually. In the middle I muted the mic on the headset and let it build up again and tried touching it etc.
