you mean all these?

Spoiler

Dude..... Not trusting Maximum PC is fine, but look at the damn dates. Those vids came out in 9-11 nov. Crimson or 15.11.1 came out quite a few weeks later. Please tell me you simply overlooked that part and assumed Maximum PC posted fake benchmarks

oc3d also had results that were pretty similar...

The benchmarks you showed here prove my point, weaker Nvidia cards perform better than their stronger AMD counterparts. And there are alot of drops of stuttering happening with AMD cards...

This isn't really an argument to go for Nvidia over AMD. Star Wars: Battlefront massively favours AMD hardware. There are a whole slew of games which prefer one of the vendors, it's just something we have to deal with rather than try to use it as part of this silly argument.

OP, the GTX 970 is a good card. The fact that people are claiming that the 390 is THAT much better are clearly delusional. Don't get me wrong, it is faster, and will bitch slap the 970 once DX12 titles start rolling around.

I used a GTX 970 at 1440p and it performed very well assuming you don't mind running at super duper ultra settings. The increase in resolution more than makes up for it running at high. AA also isn't going to happen with a 970, it's too much for the card to handle (which is, again, tackled somewhat by running at a higher resolution). I would recommend the R9 390, but if you must have Nvidia, the GTX 970 also isn't a bad shout. The GTX 980 doesn't represent a good value for money.

I NEVER said that someone should choose Nvidia over AMD based on 1 single game, all I said was that there Is something wrong with the game when It comes to AMD cards considering their weaker Nvidia counterparts perform better than them.

Bruh.... That's just one Fury x. The 390 being on par with the 970 you refuse to accept. Yet you trust outdated videos more?

Why?

So youre saying that If they try another Fury X the results will be different? I guess Ignorance Is bliss....

Nah you misinterpreted my sentence. the Fury x is just one product in the whole line.

You stated that the whole line is underperforming. Yet when I showed you a recent benchmark, you clamied those were fake and pointed to outdated videos that weren't using updated drivers.

Why? Why do you do so?

The whole line IS underperforming, the AMD cards (which are stronger than their Nvidia counterparts (for example the 970 & the 390) are performing worse).

Just get a 970, something like a Gigabyte G1 gaiming, after that overclock as high as you can (stable results no crashes) and boom you will have nearly the same performance as a 980 has for 200 bucks less. The 980 and especially the non refrence models of it have become unnecessary cards with a bad price/performance ratios with the launch of the 980ti. Of course the 980 is an insane card but it costs too much when you compare it to a 980ti which has nearly twice the performance of a 980 when you overclock it.

How so? The 970 and 390 are on par like stated in the above benchmark.

Though, you've yet to answer my question. Why did you point us to outdated videos with outdated information?

All that graph showed was that the framerate on the AMD line had been Improved, but no Information on all the Issues with the AMD cards...

Not outdated, and youre avoiding my question...

Not outdated.... Right.....

Maybe I'll link you those videos again

Here's their dates respectively:

And here's the date when oc3D tested the 15.11.1 driver

Oh? And the Crimson drivers? They came much later

Sorry, but simply saying that outdated information isn't outdated doesn't cut it.

Avoiding your question? Go re read the posts again. I've already answered your question. To which the question is derived from you misinterpreting my statement. You've spent the last few posts dodging my questions, why?

#Rekt This really did go off topic and turn into a Nvidia vs AMD thread. I don't think the OP even read of these posts because he/she never answered if they HAD to have Nvidia. The topic of 970 vs 390 is dead. The 390 is freaking better and this is coming from somebody who came into the GPU game being brainwashed into a Nvidia fanboy and bought a 960 over a 380 because people told me to avoid AMD items like the plague.... Is anybody forgeting 3.5GB? lmfao What happens when the OP starts modding fallout and needs more Vram? The 970 will die and the 390 will race ahead in its sexy read colors across the world killing mutants. I'm not a fanboy of either but have a logical head. If ones better than the other for similar price. Fuck the brand.

Dude, the charts you are showing are just proving my point, theres still an Issue with AMD In Fallout 4, weaker Nvidia cards are beating their more powerful AMD counterparts...

I believed you werent a fanboy untill that how wonderful the "red colors" are... What Im saying (and you should really read this before making a fool of yourself) Is that theres something wrong with the optimization on AMD cards In Fallout 4. For example the 390 Is stronger than the 970, yet In Fallout 4 the 970 peforms better... I never said the 970 Is better than the 390. Read before you write "#moron"...

The 970 beats the 390 at 1440p (and the 970 hasnt had a recent driver update like AMD cards) the reason It Is this way Is like Don pointed out earlier... gameworks...

I hope you didn't just pull that out of your ass cause that isn't what that graph showed.

Ohhh I see. So the 390 has problems in FO4, not making it weaker. The 970 doesn't share these issues not making it stronger and by this deduction you make the assumption to recommend a 970? Is the OP only going to play one game in his whole life? If so, mad respect I put about a thousand hours into Skyrim and with mods I'ma put a thousand more but if the op wants a GENERALLY better experience with most games. You would recommend a 390, right? *Winks*

I never recommended the 970 over the 390.... Read my first comment on this post, my very first comment. Someone stated that the 390 "crushes the 970 In all these games" and I said no thats false.

My guess is that he just saw the first section for 390 and didn't realize the 390 was on their twice for before and after driver updates. Guessing.  Because it confused me at first too.
