(game).exe cannot acces graphics hardware

I got a new r9 280x and just installed all the drivers as far as I know. When I try to play a game the game runs normal for likme the first minute, but then I get a freeze and a message appears: "(game).exe cannot acces graphics hardware.

The autodetect installer downloaded everything

I think so, I'm not sure if the cables are correct though.

Try going to AMD.com and downloading the lastest drivers, and use the installer.

 

Choose your Windows version, and download AMD Radeon software Crimson Edition, it'll download your GPU drivers.

I'm not sure if the gpu power cables are connect the right way or does it not matter if the cables are connected on the right or left input?

There should be a power cable in each spot, your computer shouldn't let you boot without power going to the GPU.

I tried reinstalling all the drivers but I still have the same problem, it also says "display driver has stopped working and has succesfully recovered"

Now I'm getting black boxes on my screen

I had similar issues with the r7 360 both the gigabyte and the asus models. The gigabyte was giving me a black screen shortly after boot up and getting this error.

And then i swapped it With the asus one i was getting a green bios screen.

And now i purchased the strix asus r7 370 and havnt had a drama so my conclusion to the issues i had were hardware related
