Cheap cars vs Quality cars.

Choose wisely, it might save your life.

A few days ago an accident took place under my house (11th floor i live at).

2 Cars rammed into each other pretty hard.

The speeding driver skidded 8-13 metres away from the impact and the slow car moved 3 metres .

The dude in the speeding car was injury free(maybe some bruises) and the poor slow car that was hit trying to turn to the right had the front utterly destroyed.

The driver of the slow car fainted and it took the passerbys quite a while to drag him out.

Moral of the story, don't go for cheap cars. You might be a lawful driver, but that doesn't matter much on the road if someone isnt.

To be fair, if you're in a crash, you don't want your car to not look like it's been utterly wrecked. If your crumple zones aren't crumpling, they're not absorbing energy and that's not safe.

Yea but that car was paper hit by steel.

The distance between the driver and the newly made front was around a metre.

Well it might be right to have a technology that helps cushion the impact in such a manner, but i am pretty sure that car didn't have it or implement it well xD.

Yeah, not trying to origami your driver is very important too. A car made entirely of quite malleable metal would absorb the impact well, but that doesn't achieve much if the engine crumples into the driver's chair.

Well everyone is okay, and that's the main thing. I made a police report, but they said they can't do anything since it was on private property. Turns out he was ditching class too. They put a lookout on the guy though. We have evidence of him saying it was his fault, so if it comes back on me I will be pissed.

I understand that he ran into you :P im saying its all about evidence,

Like I posted before, he told multiple people it was his fault, and he made a drawing of what happened, like what I did on MS Paint to show what happened.

no security cameras?

you should have made the call. that would have been the right thing to do. get it down on paper.

as far as the license goes, does he even have one? that would have helped even more.

always drive defensively.

His tags were temporary, and expired. The guy bolted so I couldn't really do anything, that's what I told the police. The police gave me the rest of his information. They tried to bring him into the station but he was ditching class. There is no way in hell I'm going down for this.

Yeah. I'm only 17 so I'm not really sure on what to do, as this is the first time I've ever been in an accident besides being 7. School security came out and didn't talk to us. Nothing they could do anyway. Just going to have to call his insurance or him to see if we can get the money for it.
