What is the most effective cpu cooler for an AMD FX6300 however it needs to be one that latches on not one that screws on

Why not a cooler that's screwed on?

My mobo has the latches

Prebuilt? You can remove latches on normal mobos. With latches you are pretty much limited to coolers that are close to stock in performance.

The hyper 212 EVO is a good cheap cooler for OC'ing.

P.S. You can remove the locking mechanism on AMD boards by simply unscrewing the four screws.

Totally agree with the choice of the hyper 212 evo as it's a universal cooler which means it works for almost any mobo and a latching cpu cooler sucks get screws!!!
