Basically as the title says, my machine keeps hard crashing under high GPU load. I say this because it never happens when browsing the web, youtube etc.

Specs are as follows:
Intel 5820K @ 4Ghz (Custom Watercooling loop)
Kingston HyperX 16GB (4x4GB) 2400Mhz
MSI X99 S SLI Plus
MSI GTX 980 4G
Corsair AX750
2X Seagate 2TB HDD's
250GB Samsung 850 Evo

What I've tried so far:
Intel burn test maximum 10 passes - Stable
FurMark, which crashes after a random amount of time
MemTest 86 - Passed

Overclocks are not the problem either as it still happens when everything is stock speeds

Temps are within safe ranges:
CPU maxes out at about 70C
GPU maxes out at about 75c ish

The crashes are almost completely random with nothing consistent linking them together but the more demanding the game, the more likely it is to happen. I've already RMA my graphics card and that didn't solve the problem

Any thoughts?

Huh... try a different PSU. Ask a friend to borrow one, if you have it.

How about downlocking as low as afterburner will allow. If it can survive furmark for a while like that it may be a bad chip?

The graphics card is an RMA replacment from MSI, so I doubt it's that. but for the sake of arguement, I'll give it a try.

Whats your PSU?

Corsair AX 750W

It's the second PSU that's been in that machine, so I'm pretty sure that's not the problem
