What is microsoft.NET?

Hi. There is a software call "microsoft.NET" inside my laptop. Is that important to my laptop and can I uninstall it?

the .NET framework is used by applications. it is an API by microsoft.

 

you may have software that uses it

Can you uninstall it? Yes. Will you need to install it again? Most likely.

you can uninstall it but when you run a program that needs it, the program will crash or tell you it needs it. in which case you would have to reinstall it.
