12 core AMD CPU?

Hello!

 

i just saw a 12 core AMD on the web, it is the Opteron series!

 

My question is!

 

 

i never have seen on this forum anybody said i gonna buy 12 core AMD?

 

is it a bad CPU? or what

Whaler uses opteron CPU's on his folding rig, they're perfectly good CPU's, but they're expensive. You can compare them to Intel's Xeon range

12 cores aren't enough these days... I don't look at anything less than 32
