Can you tell us anything more about what happened when it crashes?

Did you receive any windows error logs and is the log complete?

Is the error related to generic hardware errors/failures?

Do you Overclock?

What temperatures do you see on your hardware?

what should i use to check

CoreTemp or HWMonitor. Though the CAM software mentioned above will probably work just fine, but the programs I mentioned are much lighter.

Moved to Troubleshooting.

So you can run windows fine but games crash the pc?

I would bet on the power supply.

Your system came with the R7 240 (very low power GPU) so 600 W should be fine but a 980 needs a lot more juice to run, especially if it boosts.

I would get a more powerful brand name powersupply with at least 750 Watts to be stable.

Also keep in mind that your CPU boosts as well (can be deactivated in the BIOS) .

i realized but shouldn't my system be fine if the screen freezes fans come on full blast so it uses more power and the system doesn't shut down also what psu would you recommend almost all psus should fit in my case but the thing is the games i play had run well on my 980 before unless my psu wore down in 3 months which is possible if my 980 requires full power from it.

Writing terminal I see I too like to type without punctuation to make reading things exceedingly difficult when I am in an environment in which I am asking for assistance with an issue I am unsure as to how I will resolve and require outside assistance from members of a community who may have the adequate knowledge to address my issue and help with problem resolution

That hurt me a lot right there.

i don't overclock there never is a error that comes up i have waited 30 minutes for it to fix it self before nothing happens the fans just come on full blast and then slowly start to slow down i don't know which fans but i think its gpu

If it sounds like a hairdryer it's the gpu. But that doesn't mean it's under load just that it reset into default like when entering the bios / uefi screen and fanspeed control is not available.

If your PC freezes and you do see a still image, it might be your harddrive. I've repaired a lot of laptops that had that issue. If you have a spare one (doesn't have to be fast) try installing windows and some games and see if it works. But I would still recommend going for a brand name powersupply like Seasonic, Enermax or EVGA with 80 Plus Gold or Platinum rating.

If the screen just goes black it might only be the Powersupply but in some cases it could be the gpu as well (try your old R7 240, if you still have it)

A 980 would run fine with a 500W PSU.
