Left channel not working on amplifier.

Alright so I have a vintage amplifier a JVC JA-S22 and recently the left channel has stopped working. The thing is it still kind of works and at points the left channel voltage will spike and play some sound but doesn't work. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated thanks.

fairly old.

possible the inetenrals are dying.
