Why does The CW website think hotspot shield is an adblocker?

so i went to the cw page to watch izombie and it told me to disable adblock i don't even have adblock when i turn off hotspot shield the ads load but because i live in the UK i need hotspot shield to watch it  it was working fine on Thursday when watching arrow.

 

any idea how to fix this i've tried 3 browsers chrome, firefox and edge.
