If you have money for a system now then get it if not and its going to take a while to save then wait.

There will ALWAYS be something to wait for i see people do it all the time. there like oh ill just wait tell X and then there like well Y is not that fat off.

We get new hardware every year and its never ground breaking were talking 15/20% speed boosts.

I  have GameServer`s And VOIP servers the only price is that you have fun on them.

My bet is on Q3, maybe Q2 for the top end ones (it takes longer for the rest to come out usually)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You can wait but if HBM yield is terrible they'll either delay the cards or you'll have to pay an arm and a leg for it. Not to mention that AMD has first dibs on HBM 2

but hbm2

HBM2 by itself won't make that huge of a difference.

ETA is like Q3 2016. If you buy a GPU now, you can just resell it when Pascal arrives. I mean some people wouldn't mine buying used tech as long as it's not broken an is covered still by warranty.

1080 Ti or whatever they call it will be after the next Titan usually around June is when they launch it.

They usually release somewhere around the middle of the year give or take a month or so.  You'd be waiting over half a year.  Your profile says you have an R9 390X.  That's a pretty powerful gpu.  Unless you feel like you need more performance you may want to wait.  Otherwise, buy what will get you the performance you want.  You can get some pretty good money by selling your current gpu to offset some of the upgrade costs.

Thrive on change. Embrace volatility.

So judging by that the 1080 Ti would be Q2 2017?
