M.2 Drive Placement

My M.2 slot is located directly underneath my first PCie x16 slot. Will M.2 get hot and mess up my Graphics card, or vice versa? in other words should i buy a M.2 PCIe to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter?

I doubt this would be an issue. The M.2 drive may get hot but not hot enough to cause damage to the motherboard or a card in the adjacent PCIe slots.
