I have an AMD FX 6100 that I got in the 5th grade. I am a freshman in high school now. I was looking at the 6th generation Intel processors for the fact of future-proofing. Most likely an i5 6600k because I don't need the extra threads and want to do some moderate overclocking. I also want to get ddr4 memory just so I don't have to upgrade later within the next 3 years. I am good on everything else but cpu, motherboard and ram. I was wondering what I can get best for money, and I guess if I had no budget. Thanks!

Going latest and greatest isn't the best thing exactly.

I'd go with something 1 or 2 gens older with DDR3 (People still use DDR2) so it should technically be cheaper (Although older mobos with the right socket and the CPU themselves might be a little harder to find.
