I can't decide on a messenger bag T_T

ForceApple

Okay guys, I have been searching for a bag for Collage for a while but i can't really find the one that really calls for me. I was looking at Timbuk2 bags because i wanted a messenger  and I want carry my GF2 (camera) around.

Before i would carry a camera bag and a backpack around but it got annoying so now i just carry my backpack and I have stopped using my camera because of that.

So the bag I was looking at was the Snoop Camera Messenger bag

http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/snoop-camera-messenger-bag($126.75)

But including shipping it's additional 30$ and duty isn't applied yet :(  (Canada.....)  (total $156.75 no duty yet)

another option i was thinking about was getting the D-Lux Laptop Bondage Messenger Bag and get

a extra small Snoop camera Insert but the bag doesn't look too great preferred the colour scheme on the Snoop

http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/d-lux-laptop-messenger-bondage-bag ($96.75)

http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/snoop-camera-insert ($21.75)

then shipping would be $35 because $5 per extra item then duty after that. (total $153.5 no duty yet)

I don't what to do, should i even get a Timbuk2. I can't really decide and i want some opinion from others. I'm open for other bags just so you know. As you already can see money is a factor though I'm in the $150 range. The Timbuk2 bags were just an example and what I was looking at last.

Thank you in advance :D

Just a personal preference but I really don't like messenger bags, it's all about the backpack.

Get a backpack with more than one compartment?  I tend to carry around a lot of College work so loads of paper, notes, folder and equipment which is too heavy for a messenger bag which is why I use a backpack.  Couldn't you put all your school stuff in one section of the backpack and camera stuff in another?

but there is not padding and I don't really feel safe. Is there a backpack you can suggest?

You can get higher quality ones with padding on the straps and the back of the bag that goes against your back.  If you want a bag you can always keep your eye on or know it hasn't been opened then a messenger back is probably best.  You could get something like this: http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/equipment-daypacks/borealis_3.html?from=subCat or http://uk.thenorthface.com/tnf-uk-en/equipment/shop-by-category-1/daypacks-urban-bags/backpacks/vault-backpack-2.html the padding doesn't look that great on it but the build quality should be good and it has enough compartments.  You could get a small padlock to lock the zips together if you're concerned about people opening your bag.
