Where I'm buying from. Anything from here. Looking at the corsair vs450 and 550 series.

I bought a dud psu of eBay that's very loud and I think it's not its true wattage for the price I could of bought a good trusted psu.

I heard the CX series is bad.

If you want Corsair, the RMi Series is very good. And super silent.

What is your money limit and how many watts do you need? And for Aussie climate stay way away from the CX PSU and generally Corsairs PSUs are overpriced

How cheap is cheap? Anything from Seasonic and XFX are very good. S12II and XFX TS get my low budget vote.

I have used coolmax in the past although many people hear would likely refer to them as a "bomb" in your system. I have never had an issue with them, but seasonic and xfx tend to cost less

Coolmax? Never heard of it. Thought u meant cooler master

3 star review for your psu xD

Is a corsair VS450 bad?

I can't spend a lot of money

If you aren't planning on doing heavy work, overclocking and you have fairly low end build I would say that will do. It has a 3 year warranty and rated at continuous usage at 40c. I'm unsure how loud or quiet the fan will be but it will work
