Hi Guys

I'm building a new system again after 8 years and I've just started reading again since middle of this year. I've been buying part by part since 3 months ago depending on cash availability. I'm hoping to have it running by end of the year (minus the graphics card, that's for next year).

I have 350D case so mATX board needed. Should I get ASUS Gene VIII for additional 120SGD (~$85) or is the Gigabyte z170mx-gaming 5 be a better option? What am I missing if I go with the Gigabyte mobo? I can't find any comparison between these two so I was hoping to get some feedback here.

This system will be used for gaming, photo editing, video encoding, running a few virtual machines for software development, everyday usage.

Other parts are below

case: Corsair 350D

processor: i7 6700K

memory: Corsair Vengeance 32GB LPX

psu: Seasonic X650

Thanks in advance

-Snip-

Go for whichever gives you the best value. 120 GB is a little small, and you can get a 240 GB SSD for $80.

Also, the Gigabyte board has a Killer E2200 LAN card, and I personally bought a Killer card for my laptop and I love the options it gives.

I think you misread on that one :) . I was talking about the price difference of 120SGD( Singapore Dollar) or approximately 85USD

Oops, yep. Well, he can still get a 240 GB SSD with the price difference. xD

Helping kids with horrible spelling does that to me and it has been a long day.
