And when combined with their bad customer service reputation I'd avoid buying the Asus 390x.

Also, the 390x only beats the 390 by a few fps. Better to save money and get a 390. Or get a 290x

Well I saw a good deal online for the Asus but now its gone, probably will get a 390 instead, only 5 fps difference I see.

The cooler is kinda bleh, looks godly although the VRM's arent cooled well and overall the sapphire nitro or MSI 8g is a better purchase.

Not everything is about fps. The build quality, components used in the construction of the card, and cooler are much different between brands. So buyer beware

Pretty much is, coolers deals with fps cause better coolers can get better overclocks = more fps.

Again, just to clear the misconception here. The vrms are cooled on Asus cards. It's the memory that is not cooled.

Exactly! Not all 390s are created equal. They use the same chip, sure. But everything else can change between brands.
