Hey

I bought an older, used PC for a hundred bucks as a gift. It is supposed to play games like Fallout New Vegas and older. Maybe Rocket League.

This is the rundown:

Antec P182

Intel Quad Core Q6600
Geforce GTX 460
4GB RAM
Windows 7

I have a gaming PC myself with a GTX 760 that I'm either selling or keeping. Would it help this older rig if I replaced the 460 with the 760 or is the CPU going to bottleneck it? Should I OC the CPU to 3.0Ghz and how safe is it? Does installing an SSD to this older rig benefit it as much as a normal HDD? Would this build run those older games at 1080p with steady 60fps or do I need to lower the resolution for that?

I know the benefits of SSD as all my PC's have it, but would it benefit this older rig?

Thanks.

You could squeeze more performance out of that CPU if you OC and changing the GPU would help with FPS as well :)

Gotcha. I'll probably end up selling the 460 then.

I'd recommend going with water cooling though too :)
