RAM help!

I bought new RAM stick.It's like my old one 8 GIB DDR4 ECC RAM still when my pc boots it shows only 8 gibs and thats my old stick I can see with HWmonitor the 2nd stick and in my bios but it's like the ram is not there.I have placed them in the 1st and 3rd slot since when i place it in the 2nd the PC enters boot loop.

If it bootloops when it goes to dual-channel, my best guess is a bad DIMM. Test with only the new one to see if that is the case.

8 GIB DDR4 ECC RAM - are you sure this is exactly the type of RAM you have got already? Its unusual to see error correcting memory in desktop systems.

Yes I'm sure because i build the PC one week after Skylake release and the only RAM in my local store was 8GIB DDR4 ECC green sticks Crusial memory
