Question about Bluetooth audio

I was wondering if there is an easy way to send audio via Bluetooth from my phone and have it playback on my PC. I'm currently in the market for a new pair of desktop speakers and I'm currently looking at 2 speakers, the Creative T40 Series 2 and the T50W. I like some of the wireless features of the T50W but I hear it has a problem with putting the speakers to sleep when there's no audio and that it takes around 4 seconds to resume playback and that's kinda a deal breaker for me so I'm gonna get the T40's but I want to be able to use them for Bluetooth playback on my phone when I'm not able to plug directly into them.

Is there a way to do this or am i SOL.

If you use Windows and you don't have a cheap POS bluetooth card/dongle, there should be a option to use your PC as a audio device, so that you can essentially turn your PC into bluetooth speakers(some cards allow you to use your PC's mic too, so you can make calls through your PC).

I plan on buying a cheap bluetooth dongle but I have no clue if it would even pair with my phone.

It will pair, but don't go too cheap. Generally the "cheap ass" dongles include very basic drivers/software, so they won't support using your PC as speakers. You don't have to go expensive though, I have a Targus dongle that passes audio through just fine, it only cost like $10 back in the day.

You have to think in terms of BT reciever and BT transmitter.  The BT speakers are receivers, you phone is a BT transmitter.  Once you get a dongle for you PC, your PC will be a BT transmitter.  Your wording is a little strange, but you can play your phone through those speakers, and once you get that dongle you can play your PC through the speakers.  You can play your phone through your computer, and you can't connect both devices simultaneously.

Typically what you would do is when you want to connect your phone to the speakers you go into your phone's BT settings and pair them, and you go through your PC's BT setting and pair it when you want to listen to your computer.

FYI this is the exact dongle I got over a year ago.  I got it to use my DualShock controller on my PC.  I also had some BT IEMs that worked really well until they broke (the IEMs).  It did both functions perfectly.

Can you describe the scenario you're going for? Are you just wanting to use your phone for music and then stream it to the PC and then through the speakers?

Pretty much.
