What games are you looking to play in surround? Racing games and things like GTA V look awesome in surround, but BF4 and CS:GO? Not so much.

Sources: my friend has a ghetto 3 monitor setup lol

What games and such will you be playing?

Warthunder = amazeballs

CSGO = plz kill me

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

As far as what games I'd play in surround, it would be games like Rust, Arma II, some GTA, Witcher games, and things of that nature. Basically whatever I can find in my steam library lol.

As time goes on I'm playing less and less counter-strike, so that's why I'm considering getting the three monitor setup in the first place.

I would go with the 3 monitor setup (Config 2) then IMO just cause of how awesome it looks and feels to play on 3 monitors, even if for bragging rights over console peasants lol

Confg 3 cause that's what im doing with the exact same hardware (different monitors) and it's dope! Coincidentally my mobo quit working the next day after i got the 144hz (not related, im sure) so i haven't really gotten a chance to use it for more than 4-5 hours. I could tell that more graphics power would definitely be appreciated though so sli is definitely in my future

If you don't mind me asking, what monitors specifically?

I'm just curious if the difference in panel/bezels is that big of a bother. i.e. are all the monitors TN or just the 144hz? Is it a big difference?

I'm not even entirely sure to be honest.  They're older dells.  The bezels are annoying but can be compensated for.  Mine are less than ideal but the general idea is the same.  The colors on mine are different than the 144 and I just can't get them looking the same but once I start gaming I dont really notice that much.
